The DU Zone A Security Program Update

The launch of the Security Program in Zone A has shown marked improvement in reducing crime in Zone A. Before the current Security Program was launched in July 2009, snatch thefts and break-ins (although reduced by the old security system) were quite common.

These incidences have been reduced significantly after the new Security Program was
launched and we had only 1 reported snatch theft in the past two years. Even part-time Indonesian maids who came to clean houses say that they now feel safe, whereas in the past they were also victims of snatch thefts. Similarly attempted or actual house break-ins in Zone A have decreased significantly with no new cases reported in the past few months.

This success in reducing the crime rate in Zone A is due to the cooperation of our residents who have continually supported our efforts to maintain the security system in DU Zone A.We thank you for your support and cooperation.

Kindly also note that the Government has implemented policies that may make the cost of hiring and maintaining private security services more expensive. We are keeping tabs on these policies and will update you on any developments that can affect the implementation of the Security Program in our DU Zone A.

Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons, vehicles and noise in your
